MOLD REMEDIATION

FAQS

  • What causes mold?

Moisture creates the ideal growing environment for mold spores. Before CPR service technicians begin to diagnose, clean, sanitize and dry the damaged areas, we discover where and why the moisture accumulated in the first place. We don’t put a band-aid on the problem, but rather pinpoint the source that caused it and correct it.

  • Can I just use bleach to clean up the mold in my basement?

We do not recommend addressing mold issues yourself. Bleach may get rid of surface mold to the naked eye, but mold spores may be lurking within your walls, air ducts or air you breathe, only to return and cause allergic and respiratory reactions.

  • Should I be concerned about mold in my home?

Yes, if mold is not addressed it can cause structural damage to the home as well as health concerns to anyone exposed to it. Inhaling or touching mold spores can lead to allergic responses that include sneezing, runny nose, red eyes and skin rashes.

  • Am I covered for mold remediation in my home insurance policy?

You may or you may not be. Every policy is different. We recommend checking your policy before you need it. If you do have coverage in your policy, we work with the insurance adjustors to make sure you receive the fullest amount of your coverage.
