WATER DAMAGE, WHAT NOW? —

When it comes to water damage, initial safety concerns include shutting the power off to the affected area and shutting the water off. Getting a professional to assess the damage thoroughly is also key. What may look fine the first day after a flood, can begin to deteriorate the second day. FAQS

  • How long will it take for my home to dry after a flood?

Our specialized equipment constantly monitors how dry materials are throughout the process. Just feeling dry to the touch might not be an exact indicator. The length of each job is different. With most floods, we can have the spaces restored within 3-5 days.

  • My carpet was involved in a flood, can it be restored?

There are several factors we take into consideration to determine if carpeting is salvageable. For instance, if it’s contaminated from exposure to sewage, is permanently stained, or has lost adhesion, it may not be salvageable. We do our best to save carpeting whenever possible.

  • Can my wood floors be saved?

Our goal is to save as many aspects of your home as possible. For wood flooring, it can often be saved depending on the severity and duration of the water exposure. We monitor it throughout the duration of the job to check for dryness, buckling or cracking.

  • There was sewage water in my basement flood, what does that mean for my furniture and stuff?

That depends on the surface. We can dry, clean, treat and sanitize hard surfaces exposed to sewage, however porous surfaces such as drywall, paneling or insulation must be removed and properly disposed of.
